Wireless Connection: Laptop and Desktop to Skyworth Google TV

If you want to stream content from your laptop or desktop to your Skyworth Google TV, casting is the easiest way to go. Casting allows you to mirror your device's screen, browser tab or send an individual files such as photos, videos, music to your Skyworth TV.


Aside from casting there are a few different ways to connect a laptop and desktop to Skyworth Google TV wirelessly. But as mention earlier, the best and the easiest method if you have Skyworth Google TV is Cast Screen using CastPlayTV App, a pre-installed application inside your Skyworth Google TVs. 

To use the CastPlayTV App normally, you need to download and install the latest version of Google Chrome browser on your Desktop or Laptop. However, if you have an existing chrome browser installed Laptop or Desktop, be sure to update it to the latest version.

Make sure your Laptop or Computer and Skyworth Google TV is connected to the same Local Area Network or Home Network. It is better to set  your WLAN router to 5G mode, and then connect your Skyworth Google TV to the wired network. However, if you don't have an available wire for your Skyworth Google TV you can always have a choice to go wireless but the response time is delay.


How to Cast and Share my Laptop or Desktop Screen to Skyworth Google TV?

Here are the step by step guide on how to Cast and Share you're Laptop or Desktop Screen to your Skyworth Google TV. This guide comes with an actual image to made it easy to follow.

  • Setup Google TV to maximized the use of all pre-installed apps. The default setup is only basic TV. Please refer to the image below;


  • Make sure the Laptop or Computer and Skyworth Google TV is connected to the same Local Area Network or Home Network. It is better to set  your WLAN router to 5G mode, and then connect your Skyworth Google TV to the wired network.

  • Press "Home" on your remote and locate "CastPlayTV" on your Google TV home page. Please refer to the image below for your reference.


  • By default Cast Screen is selected, but if you want to use Screen Mirror instead, you may always free to use what's best for you. In our guide I prefer to used "Cast Screen", please refer to the image below for your reference.


  • Open Google Chrome browser on your laptop or desktop. Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the window. Please refer to the image below for your reference.


  • Select "Cast." Please refer to the image below for your reference.


  • Scroll down and locate "Sources" drop down menu to select your preference, Cast tab, Cast screen. If you select Cast tab you will only project that particular browser tab on your computer or laptop. Otherwise, you will share you're whole screen to wide audience if you select Cast screen.

  • Once your sources is set, next is to locate and click on the available Skyworth Google TV where you wish to share your screen. In this guide the default name for Skyworth Google TV is "SWTV-22SA-FHD". Please refer to the image below for your references.
