On this DIY guide, I would like to answer the following question, "How to or how can I Update and add Apps on my Coocaa 50S3N?

Originally, the Coocaa 50S3N comes only with 7 applications which includes Netflix, YouTube, Smart TV Apps, Facebook, Twitter, MiraShare and Browser. Please refer to the actual image above.

What happened after update?

The image below is an actual image capture on updated Coocaa 50S3N models.
After the software update, three new applications added from the existing seven applications which includes Netflix, YouTube, Smart TV Apps, Facebook, Twitter, MiraShare and Browser. 
The additional 3 Apps after software update are as follows; Prime Video, YouTube Kids and Yahoo Weather.

How to update or add applications to Coocaa 50S3N?

Here is the step by step guide on how to update your Coocaa 50S3N.

1. Prepare USB Flash Drive.
2. Format USB Flash Drive to FAT32.
3. Download Coocaa 50S3N Software using this link.


4. Extract both and copy or move the software "MstarUpgrade.bin" and "SkyData Folder" to USB Flash Drive root directory. Please refer to image below.
I assume that your USB flash drive and software is ready at this point. So let's prepare the Coocaa 50S3N for software update.

1. Insert USB Flash to Coocaa 50S3N USB port which is located at the back of the TV.
2. On your Coocaa original remote press "MENU".
3. Using remote navigation key find "SETUP".
4. Then select "Software Update (USB)".
5. Finally press right or left navigation key arrow, cancel and ok, respectively.
6. The update will begin, please refer to image above. Please do not interrupt on unplug the TV while the Coocaa 50S3N updating, it took sometimes to finish.

7. TV will automatically turned off when update is finish!

Update the SkyData
1. Turn on the TV using the remote control, an initial setup window will greet you. Please refer to image below for your reference.
2. Keep pressing the green button on your remote until your TV will turn off. Please refer to the image below for your reference.

3. Wait until the TV reboot!

What else the update can solved?
The update also fixed the stuck volume problem which some customer have already experiencing and Netflix Error.

Netflix Error Code: tvq-pm-100 (3.1.6):
We're having trouble playing this title right now. Please try again later or select a different title.

Netflix Error Code: tvq-st-103, tvq-st-106:
Netflix has encountered an error. Retrying in 33 seconds. Code: tvq-st-103, tvq-st-106

Netflix Error Code: (-100):
Sorry we could not reach the Netflix service. Please check Network Settings to connect to an available Network and use Netflix (-100).

Stuck on volume:
Stuck on volume; not increasing and not decreasing.

Important Reminders:
Please don't use this software to any Coocaa S3N Series as follows 32S3N, 40S3N, 43S3N and 55S3N. This software is exclusive only to Coocaa 50S3N.

    3. the process worked for my 50s3n i follow the instruction carefully, note that the link I Downloaded is not from here because its not detectable by my TV, i search for different link and worked. do it by your own digression, or contact a professional tv programmer if ever.

      launch and login to netflix, if error persist look for the refresh netflix button

  4. i cant watch netflix, its hard get hold of a tech. So i tried this...it worked for me. In a few minutes it was stuck in the "welcome" part. The sreen was just blinking and i cant press anything. I dont think pressing the green button was working either...but after like 15-30mins the screen stopped blinking and i was able to proceed with setting it up. My tv is now working and i can now watch netflix . Thanks.

  12. Can we download the software directly to the TV itself? nasa mindanao kasi yung parents ko and wala silang USB flash drive na makita or maheraman. pwde ba to OTA update?

  15. In Metz Manual is written UNICABLE or one CABLE SAT Solution. But there ist no SCR MENRUE for UNICABLE.

  20. It work for me. I was having issues with my Netflix. If you guys get stuck at bootloop, try unplugging the TV from the outlet, wait about 30sec then plug it back in. Load Netflix. If still unable to play, select Details then reload Netflix. Hope that works for you guys.

  24. Hi, is there any chance for a new update? Youtube suddenly didn't work. It says error loading the page and seems to be a network issue but my TV is connected on the internet and Netflix was working. Youtube and Youtube Kids are not working.
