Skyworth G6-Series How to: Step by Step Android TV App Installation and Android Update

Here are the step by step guide on how to install Android TV Browser or other application from Google Play on Skyworth 55G6. This tutorials or guide is an answer post to the question "How can I install apps on my Skywort 55G6". 

1. On your remote, press "HOME" button. Please refer to the above photo.


2. By pressing "HOME" button TV display will filled with the following widgets, refer to above image. On your remote, using arrow keys, navigate the Apps section and locate for "Google Play" select and press "OK". Please refer to above image.

3. Another window pane open that is similar on above image. Again find the search icon, using remote arrow up or arrow left button navigate the page, select "SEARCH ICON" then press "OK" button on your remote. Please refer to above image.


4. By press "OK" on your remote, a similar image display on your TV screen. Locate the search by and manually input the app that you want to install or by using Google Assistant, just press mic button on your remote and just say what you want. For example, I want to install TVWeb Browser for TV. Please refer to above images.


5. As mention earlier, I want to install the TVWeb Browser for TV. If the application you wish to install is available, it appears on display once you press "OK". Please refer to above images.


6. Also, other related options to your searches will appeared. Refer to image above.


7. If the application you wish to install appear on your TV screen, using your remote arrow buttons to navigate, select application you wish to install and press "OK". Then a display similar to image above appear. Using remote, select "INSTALL" and press "OK".


8. By pressing "OK" on your remote, a downloading progress bar appear similar to image above. As option you can able to cancel the download or let it done. Please refer to above image.


9. After the download is complete, the application will automatically initiate the installation. Please refer to above image.


10. After the installation is finish, using your remote navigation keys select "OPEN" and press "OK". Please refer to above image.

How to add apps on TV Widget Displays.

For easy navigation of your favorite applications, you can add them on your TV screen that appeared like ribbon align across the screen. Here is the step by step guidelines on how to add apps on favorite.
1. Using your skyworth remote arrow button, navigate the screen and locate "Add app to favorite" and press "OK". Please refer to above image.


2. By pressing "OK" button on your remote, it automatically redirect you to "Select app" as similar to above image. Select all available application you want to appear in your favorite app and press "OK". On our example I wish to add TVWeb Browser to favorite. Please refer to above image.

3. Once selected, it automatically appears on your favorites. Please refer to above image.

How to CONNECT your phone to the TV?

Activate the Skyshare function of your TV. For Smart TVs, Skyshare function can be  found in the home menu. For Android series, Skyshare can be found in in the Settings > Net Settings > ALL Share. On your phone, go to SETTINGS option of your phone. Select DISPLAY and look for WIRELESS DIPLAY function. For other phones, you can access the Wifi settings and look for "Wifi Direct" function. Activate the  WIRELESS DISPLAY OPTION. Your phone will  detect TV and select the TV name to establish a connection. The main menu has a tendency to be in PORTRAIT display in some phone.
