Step-by-Step Installation Instructions

WARNING: Flashing mainboard software carries inherent risks. Never cut power or pull the USB drive during the flash. If power drops mid-install, the mainboard boot memory will corrupt permanently.

Step 1: Format Your USB Drive

Insert the USB drive into your computer. Format it as FAT32.

Step 2: Extract and Place the File


  1. Extract 9602_GoogleTV_RAP_EU_FFGA_2026.zip.
  2. Locate the file named upgrade_image_no_tvcertificatecusdatatvconfig_user_apeu_20260408.pkg.
  3. Copy this file directly to the root of your USB drive (do not rename it, and do not place it inside a folder).



Step 3: Trigger the Hardware Force Update

Since the TV cannot reach system settings, force the bootloader to read the USB drive:

  1. Unplug the TV power cable from the wall.
  2. Insert the USB drive into the TV’s USB 2.0 port (usually black or white; avoid blue USB 3.0 ports for flashing).

  3. Press and hold the physical Power Button directly on the TV panel.
  4. While holding the power button, plug the power cable back into the wall outlet.
  5. Keep holding the power button for roughly 15 seconds until the standby LED flashes red, or you see the LOADING DATA... 1% progress bar appears on screen.

  6. Release the power button as soon as the progress bar appears.


Step 4: Installation & Factory Reset


  1. Leave the TV completely alone. The recovery takes between 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Once complete, the TV will automatically reboot into the initial setup menu.
  3. Complete the initial setup, then perform a mandatory factory reset to clear old system cache:
