📋 Step-by-Step Recovery Guide
1. Prepare the USB Flash Drive
The TV's recovery system can only read specific formats.
Plug your USB drive into your computer.
Right-click the drive and select Format.
Choose FAT32 as the File System.
Click Start. (Note: This will erase all data on the USB drive).
2. Copy the Update Files
Move the following two files directly onto the root directory of your USB drive (meaning they should not be inside any folders):
upgrade_image_no_tvcertificate_project_id_persist.pkgupgrade_image_tvconfig.pkg
3. Initiate the Hardware Update
Power Off: Unplug the TV from the wall outlet completely.
Insert USB: Plug the USB drive into the USB 2.0 port on the side or back of the TV.
Power On: Plug the TV back into the power outlet.
Note: On this models, you may not need to press and hold the physical Power button to trigger the update.
4. The Upgrade Process
Once the TV detects the files, the screen will change from the recovery error to an Upgrade Prompt.
⚠️ DO NOT turn off the power or remove the USB drive while the progress bar is moving. Doing so can permanently damage your TV’s mainboard.
5. Completion
After the progress bar reaches 100%, the system will automatically restart. You can remove the USB drive once you see the "Google TV" or "Skyworth" logo appearing during the reboot.
💡 Pro-Tips for Success:
Port Selection: If the update doesn't start, try a different USB port on the TV.
File Names: Do not rename the
.pkgfiles. They must match the names exactly as provided for the system to recognize them.Drive Size: If FAT32 formatting fails, ensure you are using a drive smaller than 32GB, as larger drives sometimes default to exFAT or NTFS.
