Before starting, ensure you have the proper tools ready:

  • USB Drive: At least 8 GB capacity, formatted to FAT32.

  • Extraction Tool: Software capable of opening .zip files (WinRAR, 7-Zip, or built-in OS tools).

  • Stable Power Supply: Do not use an outlet on a loose breaker or unreliable extension cord.

  • Firmware Package: Download MTK9602_GoogleTV_R_2026.zip containing the system file upgrade_image_no_tvcertificatecusdatatvconfig_user_sa_20260720.pkg.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

1.Format the USB Drive to FAT32:Mandatory bootloader requirement.

  1. Plug your USB drive into a computer.

  2. Right-click the drive icon and select Format.

  3. Set the File System to FAT32 and click Start.

Note: The TV's low-level bootloader cannot read exFAT or NTFS formatted drives during a forced recovery sequence.

2.Prepare the Firmware Package: File must be placed in the root directory.

  1. Extract MTK9602_GoogleTV_R_2026.zip on your computer.

  2. Open the extracted folder and locate upgrade_image_no_tvcertificatecusdatatvconfig_user_sa_20260720.pkg.

  3. Copy this .pkg file directly to the top level (root) of your USB drive.

Do not place the file inside any subfolder, and do not rename it.

3.Trigger the Force Flashing Method:Bypasses broken system settings.

  1. Unplug the TV power cable from the wall outlet.

  2. Insert the USB drive into the TV's USB 2.0 port (typically marked in black or white, avoid blue USB 3.0 ports).

  3. Locate the physical power button on the TV chassis (underneath or behind the panel).

  4. Press and hold the physical power button, then plug the power cable back into the wall outlet.

  5. Continue holding the power button down for roughly 15 seconds.

  6. When the standby light starts flashing red or the screen shows "LOADING DATA... 1%", release the power button immediately.

4.Complete Flashing & Perform Factory Reset:Finalize system configuration.

  1. Wait for the update process to finish. It typically takes between 10 to 15 minutes.

  2. Once complete, the TV will automatically reboot into the initial setup screen.

  3. Complete the basic initial setup.

  4. To clear out old system logs and cache, perform a final reset:

    • Go to Home > Settings > System > About > Reset.
