SKYWORTH 55-inch 55QE63A QLED Google TV Software and Firmware Update: How to Fix Stuck Logo & Android Recovery (System Error)

SKYWORTH 55QE63A Firmware Update: How to Fix Stuck Logo & Android Recovery Errors.

⚠️ Regional Notice: This firmware package and force-update method are explicitly intended for SKYWORTH 55-inch QLED 55QE63A Google TV models sold in the Philippines. Installing this on models intended for other regions can cause permanent board mismatch errors.

If your SKYWORTH 55QE63A is hanging endlessly on the boot logo, dropping audio out of nowhere, or throwing obscure Netflix playback errors, a forced USB firmware flash is usually the cleanest fix.

When the TV won't boot into the home screen, you can't access the standard settings menu. Forcing the TV's bootloader to read an official update file directly from a USB flash drive bypasses corrupted system files and completely re-initializes the OS.

Prerequisites & Required Files

⚠️ Critical Warning: Do not skip drive formatting or power precautions. If power disconnects or the drive fails mid-write, the main board bootloader will be corrupted beyond soft recovery.

  • USB Flash Drive: Minimum 8GB capacity. Must be formatted to FAT32. (The TV bootloader cannot read exFAT or NTFS during a forced hardware launch).

  • Archive Utility: WinRAR, 7-Zip, or standard file extractor to open .zip files.

  • Stable Power: Ensure your outlet or extension cable is secure. Do not touch the power cord during flashing.

Step-by-Step Force Flashing Procedure

1.Format the USB Flash Drive:
  1. Plug your USB drive into a PC.

  2. Open This PC, right-click the drive, and click Format.

  3. Under File System, select FAT32.

  4. Click Start and confirm.

2.Extract and Transfer Firmware Packages:
  1. Extract GTV9603_USB_Upgrade_Software.zip on your computer.

  2. Open the extracted folder to reveal the two .pkg files:

    • upgrade_image_no_tvcertificate_project_id_persist.pkg

    • upgrade_image_tvconfig.pkg

  3. Copy both .pkg files directly to the root directory of your USB drive (E:\ or F:\).

Note: Do not place the files inside a folder, and do not rename them. The bootloader scans exclusively for these exact filenames at the root level.
3.Initiate the Hardware Force Update:
  1. Unplug the TV's power cord directly from the wall outlet.

  2. Insert the USB drive into the TV's USB 2.0 port (usually marked in black or white; avoid the blue USB 3.0 port).

  3. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

  4. Do not press any buttons on the remote or TV. Simply wait a few seconds.

  5. Watch the front LED indicator light. Once it begins blinking red rapidly or displays LOADING DATA... 1% on screen, the hardware has successfully mounted the package.

4.Complete the Overwrite & Factory Reset:
  1. Allow the progress bar to run from 1% to 100%. The installation takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes.

  2. Once finished, the TV will restart automatically and load the initial setup menu.

  3. Complete the standard Google TV initial setup.

  4. To ensure no residual cache remains, perform a manual system reset:

    • Go to Home > Settings > System > About > Reset.
