Your device has failed verification. System halted. Skyworth 55-inch Android TV Error (55SUD6000, 55SUD6100, 55SUD6200, 55SUD7100)
The "Your device has failed verification. System halted." error occurs when your Skyworth Android TV fails its DM-Verity / Android Verified Boot check.
What to do?
USB Firmware Re-flash
If the TV cannot load Recovery Mode or the reset does not clear the error:
Download the official USB recovery firmware (
.binorpkgfile) specific to your exact Skyworth TV model number.Format a USB drive to FAT32 and copy the firmware file to the root directory.
Insert the USB drive into the TV's top USB port.
Unplug the TV, hold the physical Power button on the TV, plug the power cord back in, and hold until the update screen appears.
If re-flashing the firmware does not resolve the issue or the TV fails to read the USB drive, the internal storage chip (eMMC/NAND flash) on the main motherboard has likely suffered a hardware failure, which requires replacing the mainboard.

Prerequisites & Preparation
Gather the following items before initiating the recovery sequence:
USB Storage Device: At least 8 GB capacity, formatted exclusively to FAT32.
File Extraction Tool: A local utility such as 7-Zip or WinRAR.
Official Software Package:
MTK9602_AndroidTV_Q.zipcontainingMstarUpgrade_no_tvcertificatetvconfig_20220507.bin.Uninterrupted Power Supply: Verify that the TV is connected to a stable wall outlet. A power drop mid-write will corrupt the underlying boot code.
Forced Firmware Update Procedure
⚠️ WARNING: Review the entire sequence before starting. Unplugging the device, removing the drive early, or misconfiguring file paths will leave the motherboard unbootable.
Step 1: Format the USB Drive
Connect your USB flash drive to a PC.
Open File Explorer, right-click the drive, and choose Format.
Under File System, select FAT32. Leave the Allocation Unit Size at default settings.
Run the format operation to wipe the drive clean.
The low-level recovery interface on the Skyworth mainboard cannot detect NTFS, exFAT, or partitioned drives during a cold launch.
Step 2: Unpack and Place the Image File
Extract the contents of
MTK9602_AndroidTV_Q.zipon your computer.Locate the extracted file named
MstarUpgrade_no_tvcertificatetvconfig_20220507.bin.Copy this binary file directly into the root directory of your FAT32 USB drive.
Do not put the file inside a folder, and do not alter its file name. The system's bootloader searches strictly for this exact filename at the top level of the drive.
Safely remove the USB drive from your PC.
Step 3: Trigger Cold Hardware Recovery
Because system crashes and frozen screens prevent accessing the standard Android TV settings menu, you must trigger the low-level boot loader using the physical button method:
Disconnect the TV power cable from the wall outlet.
Insert the FAT32 USB drive into the TV's USB 2.0 port (typically marked in black or white; do not use USB 3.0 ports for recovery writes).
Press and hold the physical power button located directly on the TV panel (underneath the front frame or on the back corner).
While keeping the power button depressed, plug the power cable back into the wall socket.
Continue holding the power button for approximately 15 seconds.
Watch the front power indicator light. The moment it begins blinking red, or when the screen displays LOADING DATA... 1%, release the power button immediately.
Step 4: Write Completion & System Reboot
The firmware flashing interface will display standard progress bars as storage partitions overwrite.
The entire rewrite process requires 10 to 15 minutes.
Do not press any buttons, disconnect power, or remove the USB drive until the routine finishes.
Upon successful installation, the TV will automatically cycle power and load the initial setup screens.
Required Post-Installation Reset
To prevent legacy configuration artifacts from interfering with the new build, run a full factory reset immediately after setting up basic access:
Select Settings (Gear icon) from the Home interface.
Go to System ➔ About.
Select Reset, then confirm Erase Everything.
Allow the television to complete its secondary reboot cycle before entering final user account details.
